Affordable Content Solutions to Drive Enrollment Growth at Eastern
Gateway Community College

Barnes
& Noble Education, Inc. (NYSE:BNED), a leading

education and K-12 institutions, today announced it has signed a
multi-year contract with Eastern
Gateway Community College ("EGCC") to provide a full suite of
solutions, including bookstore operations, an institution-wide learning
management system (LMS), LoudSight, BNED's predictive analytics
offering, and digital courseware to the students, faculty and advisors
of EGCC. These solutions are expected to help drive EGCC's enrollment
growth and ultimately improve student retention.

This fall, Barnes & Noble College will officially take over the
operation of the Eastern Gateway Community College bookstore and its
e-commerce site. Through its LoudCloud
digital education platform, the Company will also offer a suite of
digital services, including an LMS, predictive analytics, and digital courseware,
beginning this fall.

Gateway also offers online courses to over 5,000 union members. Barnes &
Noble Education's digital services will extend to these students as
well, with a total of approximately 8,000 students set to use courses
offered by BNED Courseware.
